Adult Stem Cells – Now Treating Congestive Heart Failure Patients

Due to advances in Adult Stem Cell research, the diagnosis of Congestive Heart Failure is no longer a death sentence for heart disease patients. More and more patients are now going overseas to seek out Stem Cell therapy to treat their congestive heart failure and other diseases.

An example of this is the case of Reverend Mike Rumble. Mike had been having heart problems for more than 10 years. Deteriorating slightly every year, Mike’s ejection fraction- a measure of the heart’s pumping ability had decreased to 10%. Mike was in Stage IV Heart Failure- the End Stage. There was nothing Mike’s doctors could do for him.

Mike did some research on the internet. He found a company that could treat his congestive heart failure using his own stem cells taken from his blood. Since they were his own Adult Stem Cells, there were no ethical issues for the Reverend to consider. Also, since they were his own stem cells, his body would not reject them.

In May, 2008, Mike made the long journey to Bangkok, Thailand for the stem cell treatment. It was there Mike had his stem cells injected into his heart in a minimally invasive procedure.

Now, more than 6 months after his stem cell therapy, Mike’s heart condition has improved for the first time in 10 years. His ejection fraction has gone up from 10% to 25%. Mike says he has improved by “leaps and bounds” and says his he has made tremendous improvement. His friends say he isn’t as pale as he used to be.

Mike is thankful for the improvement and hopes to return to work at the hospital soon where he worked as a chaplain counseling dying patients.
